CalKing Not Eating???.......

OreoKing Feb 11, 2006 11:40 PM

I have been trying to fee my Cal King for about two days now. I have tried to feed it pinky mice and everything. The environmental conditions are right. He is healthy and nothing seems to be wrong with him. He is active and everything. I don't know if he's about to shed because I haven't seen his eyes turn a bluish grey color. But he sometimes rushes out of the cage and tries to run up against something. And he kinds of jiggles his body a little. I also have Calcium sand as a substrate, could that be a potential problem. I don't know what to do? Can someone please help me?

Be patient, if you don't want to be patient then take your snake to the vet, snakes can go long periods without food and frequently do. Bugging it to eat everyday won't help.

Is this the same king that tried to eat your pueblan??

I think you need to go onto amazon and order yourself a decent book on kingsnakes, there are plenty out there.

What are your temps in the cage? I have seen that rushing around/twitching out behavior when snakes are kept way too warm.
