Caught this crazy thing today

phobos Feb 12, 2006 04:26 AM

Hi Everyone:

Since I have some access to internet again here a critter from today.

Spotted this 4 ft RBBS hunting on the far side of a small stream from about 70 feet away. He was not as happy to see me as I was him. I was not happy to see the legions of leaches swarming my legs while catching him.

looks like a good ol' mud to me. why are you holding him behind the head?

phobos Feb 17, 2006 11:22 PM

It's an Elapid!!! A very venomous Red Bellied Black Snake from Australia. This is why I'm holding it the way I am!
