I like your Eastern...makes me want to get one again. Do you find holbrooki as a whole to be even tempered or do they live up to their reputation of being nervous and nippy?

My holbrooki are sweet as heck but i imagine they are far removed from their wild ancestors.

Nervous & nippy are most of the wildcaught ones. Though they do rear up and strike sometimes, they never really bite down and chew on you like a wild Eastern would do, on RARE occasions of course. Out of every hundred Speckleds I found in the wild, I would say about 75% are quite nervous and jumpy. Out of every hundred easterns I have found in the wild only about 5% have bitten me (but good) and only when first caught. After that easterns tame down quite well. Speckleds take a while longer and lots of gentle handling before taming down. . .
