Red ackie coloration differences

sera Jul 26, 2003 04:48 PM

I have a trio of red ackies, on male, two female. My question is regards to the two females. In this picture you can see the difference in the pattern of these two ackies. One has dark rings around her spots while the other does not and seems to be lighter in color. They are the same age, 1 yr in October. Could the lighter one be hypo?

Thanks,
Sera

ackie!

Does it really matter if it is hypomelanistic, amelanistic or supertigergreenstripedgranitefabuloussnowpiebaldblahblah? It looks like a normal ackie. They are nice lizards, does it really matter if they are hypo or not?

What is so wrong with wild type colouration? If it is good enough for nature, why isn't it good enough for our collections?

Sorry about that, had to get that rant out of my system.

That's no problem, I don't mind the occasional rant. I was just curious, I will always get a kick out my ackies regardless. Thanks anyway!
