Dented eye???

sorry i couldnt get a pic but my female bp has a "dent" in her left eye.is this normal??

Most likely a retained eye cap. It should come off with a bit of water and a very soft rub.

Yes, dented or creased spectacles covering the eyes are common with ball pythons, in captivity anyway. Don't assume it's a retained spectacle and try to remove it if you don't know what to look for. Just wait and examine the next shed skin to make sure both eyecaps have come off. It's no emergency.

In my experience, this condition is somewhat more common in the dryer months of winter.

Make sure you know for a fact that it is a retained cap before you go rubbin on the eye. If you don't know bump you humidity up and see if it reinflates.
