Thanks for the info down below about the clear boxes. Two unrelated questions. How do you attach the boxes to the wood so that they can support some decent weight? I couldn't really tell from the pics. Also do you know if I can drill / melt holes in the cambro boxes or will they crack?

I'll let Chris expand on this. But I know he uses Polyurathane caulk and sheet metal screws. As far as drilling melting I wouldn't know I'll let chris take that one.

Hi Zach,

Bighurt had it right - I attach the boxes with sheet metal screws and polyurethane caulk. The joint is stronger than the box itself. I had another cage like this I gave to a friend. He uses all sorts of rocks and heavy substrate and has had zero problems.

You can drill/melt holes in the polycarbonate boxes, although it's not as easy as other plastic boxes. I have done both.
