cham acting very strange

Howdy. I have a 4 year old male. The past two days he has refused food, has been very dark colored, and I just noticed him digging a hole in the soil in the bottem of his tree. And before you ask, yes I am 100% positive he is male. I've never had a problem with him not eating. This digging and refusal to eat does concern me. Any ideas?

What kind of chameleon?

...could be old age kicking if nothing else.Has anything changed as in environment, lighting, temp etc? He also may be bored with his food. We need more info, try some different food items like silkworms for example. Keep us posted...

Has anything changed in his environment. Can he see any new animals from where he is. Have you added anything in his line of vision that could be stressing him? It could be even a brightly colored object that is new to him.
Recheck temps and make sure he is hydrated well. I would take him to a vet for blood tests and fecal testing. Digging at bottom and dark coloration is a sign that he is stressed or ill
