What is this? ***PICTURE***

I posted a little while back with no picture and asked what this could be but never got a response. Is this mouth rot, scale rot...??? How can I cure this and what could cause this? My substrate (aspen) isn't moist at all and my temps are fine. Thanks for your help!

Anj, looks like scale rot which could be caused by a number of things, physical damage, something it ate that caught on the skin there, contact with something moist (even urine or other). Anyway, I'd put some neosporin on it, keep the cage really clean, and keep the heat up around 80*, or so, for a few days. If it doesn't heal right away, keep putting neosporin on it until it does. Later....TC

Thank you! I'll give it a try.

I don't think it's anything to worry about at all, it looks
like it could be a scale that tore off too early when it last shed. I would be hesitant to start putting medications on it when it probably is nothing. You will probably find that after it's next shed that it will shed it out fine. If you really are concerned or it is causing the snake obvious discomfort then a trip to the vet would be in order.
