I must say I'm pretty darn happy with the way this 05 male looks. Seeing Brian's (Hotshots)Grey Rat is what started me wanting one of these gems in the first place. 05 White-Oak Grey Rat, (Dwight Good stock.)
And I can thank Jimmy (Draybar) for getting me hooked on Bairdi, LOL

Yeah, thats a very nice white-oaks grey, im thinking about getting me a pair sometime in the future. Yeah, I can thank Jimmy for getting me hooked on bairdi also, His baird's are really nice also,.I have recieved 2 glades rats, yellow rat, motley creamsicle corn and a bairdi from him in the past year. But,I highly recommend that you guys check out his snakes and even buy some of his hatchlings this year, I know for sure hes breeding bairds and tons of diffrent corn morphs.

Looking good Steve, glad to see you are happy with the snake. Hopefully that will end up being a nice one. White oak greys are pretty hard to find in the hobby these days considering how common they are in the wild. I see tons of regular greys being sold as 'white oaks' but true white oaks seem to be difficult to locate in the market.

Thanks Dwight.I knew White-oaks are found in the wild, but I didn't realize they were common. Are White-Oaks found throughout the whole P.spiloites range, or are they concentrated within a certain area?

Steve,
AFAIK, white oaks are found in the southerly range of spiloides from southeastern AL eastward to parts of North Florida and southern Georgia. There may be other localities as well but these are the ones I have experience with, albeit somewhat limited. I've caught maybe 20 or so from the area I mentioned above. Only a few would I would have classified as "white oak" types, although I'd never venture to say white oaks are rare. I wanted to try and post a series of photos of the animals I've found personally in the wild but never got around to it. Just wanted to post a quick reply before your message scrolled off the screen. I'll try to post a series of pics asap.
