What Does He Look Like?

scottyo2u Feb 13, 2006 08:46 AM

Hi Everybody,
I posted a pic of my yellow creamsicle on another web site and a few people said that he looks like a butter. I'm sure that he is a yellow creamsicle because we got both our snakes from Don Soderberg and I know he is a legit breeder. He told me that my guy is a cross between a butter and a creamsicle. I just like to get people's opinions on what he looks like.

Does anyone have any pics of yellow creamsicles and butters for comparison?

Don S isn't just legit, he's one of the best in the business. You can definitely trust his snakes to be what he says they are. If Don say it's a Butter x Creamsicle, then that's what it is, regardless of what anyone else thinks it might look like.

Nice snake BTW!

You can see a lot of butter corn influence in that pretty animal, if Don says it was a result of crossing butter x creamsicle than it most likely is. The only way it wouldn't be is if he made a mistake with his records, (we're all human) but if you've double checked with him and he says his records are right, then that's indeed what you've got there.

What Don meant.... Is that it IS a butter corn, but it has creamsickle in it's blodline. It is still a butter corn, but it has emoryi in its bloodlines. So if ever selling it or it's offspring make sure you let them know it has emoryi in it.

People sometimes get the wording slightly mixed up and it changes the meaning. I would ask Don if that is what he said or meant (butter corn with creamsicle blood in it). But Don is the one to ask - he knows what he is doing and whatever he says it is, I am sure it is that. Just be sure both of you know exactly which snake you are talking about, and that you understand exactly what he means with whatever he says.

Pretty snake!

Yes, it is a good looking snake! I have some butters that do not have creamsicle in them (at least that is what I understand) that could pass as sibs to that snake. I also have 2.3 Okeetee X Creamsicle Amel from Tom Stevens and 2.2 Fluorescent Amels from the one who can't be named. I have put a female of each in a container and no one can tell the difference. Are we to the point where it is pointless to worry about whether there is Creamsicle blood or not??? I will continue to sell, like Don, Kathy and Tom, telling people exactly what is in the corns I sell but it's getting harder and harder to be clear. The one who can't be named doesn't have Creamsicles. That's my $.02.
