Canned Silkworms/ Grasshoppers

WanderingLost Feb 13, 2006 12:59 PM

I was looking at a can of freeze dried silkworms and It said to throw away what is not eaten the day you open it if not totally consumed. Is this true? There is no way I am going to feed a whole can of silkworms to my beardie in one day, let alone a week. Can I just refridgerate it? I would think this is ok. But i wanted to check with you all, as I don't know the shelf life of canned insects. Thanks.

Personally I would throw it away before you even open it, commonly refered to as can-o-crap

I know that it is not the best thing for our dragons, but my beardie loves them. I only feed them once in a great while, and that is why I am wondering. Does anyone have any feedback?

just asking...I'm not trying to be smartalec or anything...

Heart, why do you dislike "can-o-whatever" foods so much? I don't see anything anywhere that backs up the negative comments.
