Morton - That is just not right - I am very sorry to hear that happened to you. I hope whoever took them is caught and dealt with (the old fashion way).

If you didn't want to post them here you could make a webpage (free website hosting like angelfire, tripod, geocities). That way people could check it before buying from unknown sellers. Who knows, someone may have already bought one of your animals and may recognize it in your photos, provided you had photos of your pythons. It may help in finding the thief/thieves responsible.

SORRY for your loss, I hope you get your animals back!

how effective would photos of the Ivories be? From what I can tell from the numerous Ivory photos I've seen, they (Ivories) all look essentially the same.

I hope there is a happy ending to this. These thefts are sad, and even sadder, are happening more often. Geez.......

What state did they go missing from, also what were the sexes and sizes. You probally already did this but if not i would contact alot of the big breeders such as Kevin, Ralph, The sutherlands and so forth. If the thief stole them to resell for money fast he is most likley going to go to someone with use for them and who already has money to buy them right off the back. I have seen alot of people steal from one breeder just to go around the corner and try and sell it to his neighbor(so to speak). Best of luck in finding them.

I want to say that I am truly sorry for your losses! This is a huge black eye to the reptile community! It hurts all the honest herpers out there. I truly hope all snakes are recovered safe and sound. Good luck.

Morton, I'm sorry to hear this. I know what it is like to have snakes stolen. In reality, the only way you will get your animals back is by someone coming clean. Hopefully someone who knows what happened will tell someone else and eventually it will come out. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I will keep my eyes and ears open and pray for the best for you and your animals.

Also someone mentioned making a cheap free website so people can go and be warned..well if you would Like I can provide hosting of my webhost I have and make a website if you have pictures of them morton... it would be like mywebsite.com/whatever Im not going to post my website unless we do this..because I dont know the rules on this.. I dont use the space currently so I might as well put it to good use ^_^

We are outraged to hear what happened to you....as fellow Reptile dealers
we have also been burglarized over the last 20 years, and finally
got the satisfaction of being able to catch one set of scumbags in the act.
We cannot tell you of the satifaction of wathching the three thieves squirm...it
was great! The cops even gave one of them a "tune up" while he was being apprehended.
These dirtbags not only stole our snakes, but used our bags and garbage cans to cart them off in!
I hope everyone who reads this who has a vested interest in our industry, will join in
and add to the reward for the arrest of these low life scumbags! We are adding $1,000.00 to the reward
for their arrest and conviction. If we can be of any help at all......please don't hesitate to give us a call

i know it has been said time after time but im so sorry for your loss and i wish you the best in their safe return as well as the conviction of these person/people. It's so refreshing to see fellow enthusiast pull together in a time like this if i may say so. Is there actually any insurance available for a collection such as this? If so where can i get it..im not a business (yet)just a hobbyist but i will need it fairly soon :$....I worry about telling people about my animals after hearing about this kind of stuff ....but in a way im lucky that people know im crazy and they have to get though alot of obstacles including me ..my dogs and some "home security". We'll im going to leave it at that i dont want my cockyness biting me in the ....butt
