What is more aggressive a GTP, or an EB. I am considering getting one but don't feel like being bitten all the time, would like one that is more handlable. Is this possible.

There is no correct answer to your question. It all comes down to the individual snake. I have three chondros and one etb. The etb is calmer than two of my chondros but more aggressive than the third. Even if others tell you etb's are generally more aggressive (and this may be true) it is still going to be like playing the lottery finding a chondro that won't draw blood every chance it gets. Both are beautiful snakes with slightly different care needs. Research them both and decide what is right for you but I would not decide based on opinions of which is more aggressive.

I've kept both for years and both can be tame and both can be very nasty it depends on the snake it self. I never held mine like I held my Retic's and Burms several times a week. I only messed with them a few times a month.
Rico Walder just did a great article in the Reptiles magazine for Aprils issue about handling both read it its worth it. It's best to start with a captive born feeding sub adult from a trustworthy breeder.
Just a little info most of the people that say they are nasty and hard to keep never owned them. There's a lot of hear say around both.

I was just reading that article today, my april mag just came in.Who are good breeders for GTP?
There are many but I would start with the man who wrote the article. His website is www.signalherp.com. He has a great selection of quality animals with very reasonable prices. You can't go wrong with him.

Wow that's very interesting that you say that. So you hold yours obviously? Amazing! How long does a tree python live? Can you tell me how fast it gets fromn a tiny little baby until the habitat needs to get bigger to accomadate? Seems like you got a lot of experience.
