On my drive home I mentioned on another post that I see
a group of non-native Iguanas here in Miami.
Well we've been affected by that huge, extreme cold front that
has hit the East coast this week. Our temps got as low as the upper 30's.
I saw a few iguanas hanging in one of those huge steel tubes
that are used under streets as bridges to allow the canals to
flow underneath. I thought it was interesting. I was curious as
to how, or if they could survive the cold.
It seems maybe the air is slightly warmer right above the canal.
It looked like the Iguanas may even have been parially in the
water...
I imagine Burms could do the same. It seems like a lot of
sightings of burms are actually of burms in the water...
