Is this a disease???

Bushmaster Feb 14, 2006 12:38 PM

Looks like a bubble under the skin near de axilar region. It seems to have no liquid in it but air, and it change its size when the leo walks. Anyone knows what is this???

Just looks like a fat pocket, leos get them behind their front arms. Just a sign of a healthy leo.

Wondered about that myself. I have two healthy fat tails that have the same thing.

I found it very weird because its not as fat like this one (as you can see by the tail) and no other gecko of mine got these fat pockets. But, if its normal thats ok!
Thanks a lot

Some people use that as a sign that their geckos are ready sizewise to breed.

My 12 year old has them too, under each front arm. A few years back I took her into work to have a fine needle aspirate and cytology done of the fluid. All normal. Nothing bad.

That is simply the sign of a fat healthy leo. It is a fat deposit, nothing more.
