There was a painted turtle in my grandmothers garage under some plastic stuff I guess. The odd thing is there not really any were near a pond or lake. I kind think it was some ones pet that they let loose. Other then the fact it was in my grandparents garage it has long white nails, which I have no idea but was thinking that a wild one wouldn't have them like that. I've read a bit about them, and he or she is an adult. Right now s/he is in a large bin that is got a bunch of water and a few rocks (stable ones) that are proped up with flatter ones being on top ect. Now my I've read that its a bad idea to re-introduce a turtle to a pond as other animals might get agrivated, and the whole food compitition thing. The odd thing is the day before my uncle found it I was reading all about turtle ponds (which of never done before odd ey?) Anyways is there any way I could make like a turtle bucket pond or somthing? Do the Painted Turtles often leave their ponds like that if it is wild? Thanks for all your help and info!
