20 gallon high good for couple weeks for RI?

smith710 Feb 14, 2006 09:47 PM

One of my boas definately have RI... She was originally in with another female columbian in a 90 gallon... She is only about 3 feet long right now and I was just wondering if a 20 gallon high would be fine for a while just until it goes away and if it doesnt go away in about a week I'll be taking her to the vet. I just figured the 20 high would be easier to keep real warm to maybe help her get better.. I got the heat fairly high and the humidity down... I don't exactly have the money for a vet right now that's why I have to wait about a week or so so I was wondering if anybody had any other suggestions that might help her get better soon...
Thanks alot

Thats really hard to say. It is probably better than a huge tank but you need him to be able to get away from the heat if he is too hot. I would put the heat lamp or whatever on the far side of the tank and if he is up against the other side, take the heat down a little. Just be careful he doesn't look like he is trying to get away from the heat. I am no vet so take my advice for what it is. I just am telling you what I would do because nobady has responded yet. Good luck and I hope he gets better for you.

No, I know I definately watch the heat... I'll make sure she's able to get away from the heat some how or another...
Thanks
