Or point me in the right direction to find out. I'm not the most computer literate person.
Thanks,
Bob.

If you have Microsoft Picture Manager (in the Office suite), open your picture with it, and go up to the "Picture" drop-down menu, select "Compress Pictures". It'll open a pane on the right with like 4 or 5 options ("email", "webpage", etc). I select "Web Pages" then the "OK" button at the bottom, and it'll reduce it down to a pretty small size. "Save as" whatever to where ever you like (so you don't overwrite the original).

If you don't have Picture Manager, almost any picture editing software will let you do the same thing...that one just seems alot faster and easier to me.

After reduction, just go to the Photo Gallery on this site, and upload to the folder of your choice...your pics will be listed at the bottom of every post you make, for easy selection.

This picture, of Lucy, was originally 2240x1488, 1.53MB before I did what I just described. Now it's only 448x298, 45.6 KB(!), yet retains pretty good quality for that amount of reduction...and it won't overload anybody's comp...
