First Clutch Of '06

tsmuzek Feb 15, 2006 06:44 AM

I just got my first clutch of the year this morning. They were not stuck together and she was not even wrapped around them yet. I got individual weights on them.
1 - 102g
2 - 101g
3 - 100g
4 - 90g
5 - 104g
6 - 100g
7 - 96g
8 - 95g
9 - 37g (slug)
Total 825 grams and the female weighed 1579 grams after laying this clutch. Her pre-breeding weight was appox. 2800 grams. She was bred to my male pastel (Nerd line). 56 days and counting!
Thanks for looking,
Tom Muzek

Congrats Tom! Did you pull the eggs immediately after they were laid? Or did you separate them? Mines are always stuck together by time I get to them.

She must have just laid them. They were not stuck together. They felt a little wet and sticky. She did not have a tight coil around them yet. Here is a picture of the male that bred her.
