Feeding aquarium fish

rocko5 Feb 15, 2006 08:11 AM

Hi,

I know that i am asking a lot of questions lately but here goes:
I am considering feeding my horned frog and Bull frog aquarium fish
(for some variety in diet). Should i be worried about parsites carried by these fish ? Or if the fish look healthy should it be ok ?

thanks

the safest way to get feeder fish is to breed them yourself, but even then they arent 100% safe. feeder fish from stores are notoriously sick and malnurtured. breeding your own platies, convict cichlids, or something like that will not only allow you to feed the safest feeder fish, but will give you another enjoyable pet. it is risky to feed live food to anything, and pacmans and bullfrogs are no exception. if you want to put the time, money, and effort into a fish tank, do that. if you still want to take the risk with store bought, thats what most people do. it depends on your budget and how extra safe you want to be with your pacman and bullfrog.
