hey guys, im a bit concerned about one of my female tangerine albinos. she had a little trouble sheednig a few months back and about 1/4 of the end of her tail looked really. its gotten better but now the tip has got some skin on it and looks dry. i try to assist her with taking off the skin but she try to bite... i guess it hurts her. other than that she's healthy as a horse. any help with what i can do?

if my leos have trouble shedding i use this stuff called shed aid. you can get it from petco or petsmart. it has saved some toes on my guys and some tails. i have only had it not work on 1 of my geckos and i have 18 so it works pretty good. all you have to do is spray it on and let it sit for about a minute and soak. then you could try to help assist her to get off her old skin. she is probably biting becuase it does hurt. it probably feels similar to a rubber band that is too tight around your wrist for however many weeks. you do need to get it off becuase her tail is probably dying. depends on how long it has been it could be too late but still try to get it off asap! once you get it off you can rinse her tail off so she doesnt lick the shed aid but if you cant get it off i would just spray it on and leave it on. if it never comes off i would give it a squirt everday until she sheds again on her own. sometimes it takes a little help to get the old shed off but be very carefull! sometimes the tail is so fragile in this state that it will fall off very easily!!! i hope this helps.
