Parazap

Does Parazap really work?

Last year I took on a 'rescue' beardie who was in pretty bad shape--tons of parasites, dehydrated, undernourished...list goes on. The vet stated that she was 'mostly dead' when he first saw her--and he had little hope for a recovery.

In addition to taking her to a good vet--who tested for specific parasites and gave her medicine I ordered Parazap on the advise of people from this forum.

It took about a week to get my Parazap order--I was surprised my girl was still alive. My vet looked at the list of ingredients and agreed that it did have some promise to help her get rid of the parasites. I gave her Parazap a few times a day (after she had finished a course of the vets meds). I noticed that she began to respond more once started on the Parazap...I think it has an ingredient that increases their appetite.

In my opinion, the combination of the vets meds (I think it was albon) the parazap and supplemental acidolpholis (VERY IMPORTANT) helped her get better.

Lizabella is now a healthy, happy BIG girl with a deep orange beard and normal to yellow coloration--she is a German Giant--almost 23 inches long and over 600 grams! She weighed less than 250 grams when rescued (she was 3 years old!).

I now give both of my beardies Parazap every few months--and we have been parasite free ever since. Our vet thinks it would be best used as a preventative or EARLY treatment as well as a supplement to vet treatment.

Hope this answers your questions...

from what i have read and heard about parazap, it is helpful in preventing parasite flare ups, but not as effective as a sole treatment for dragons already infected with parasites. as posted already, when u sed in conjunction with vet prescribed medications for parasites, it certainly helps. though i don't remember the actual incredients, i seem to recall it contained no actual medicinal propertes. i su spect it helps to booster the dragon's own natural defenses against parasites, instead of actually killing the parasites directly. it also helps with appetite and promoting good beneficial gut flora as well.

i beleive it works much like us drinking echinesia tea to help booster our immune system against colds. it may work or it may not but doesn't seem to be harmful to take.
