Super Piebald Mussurana

Doug T Feb 15, 2006 02:47 PM

I think you all might like this. David Fabius worked for over 20 years trying to get this animal produced. He hasn't even sexed it... he's just nervously sitting there watching it and enjoying how it's worked out for him.

Hopefully for us mussurana fans, it's not gonna take 20+ more years for more of these to show up.

Although I'm not normally a fan of morph's, having seen the grandmother of this animal in-the-flesh, I WANT ONE!

You really are a master at having fun with roadkill.

How long did it take to digest that?

...gladja like't it...gorgeous glossy thangs aint they!
I dont always feed it RK tho, as I've done a number of live feeding trials w/ it to get a comparison in venom virulence between Clelia & Diadophis (which are much more virulent), but when experimenting... I only use common spps.
They digestthem amazingly fast w/ feces occuring daily from day 3-4 thru 7 & by a week to 10 days...the mad sob is up cruising & looking for more!!!

Doug,
THANKS for showing us this. I can just imagine how excited the owner of it is. Especially when he had a goal to produce one and actually did. Personally, I would prefer the normal version, plenty rare enough for me.

take care
Fred Albury
