I may be getting a het can anyone help me?

I use to be here on a regular basis some time in 05 and pastel males where no less than 1k now I see them for as little as $500, With a drop like that I dont think I should look into pastels so im thinking of a het maybe albino or pied. The NY show is coming in april could anyone tell me what the price range on het pieds will be at the shows? I also notice that the price of granites have gone up. Did someone find something new and special about them (genetics)? The only thing I learned about them is that they have speckaling on the sides.

Well - you can look at it this way - you pick up a male pastel $500 now breed him the next couple of years to some normal girls maybe pick up a pastel female - make some money and test the breeding waters maybe buy some more expensive morphs, etc. Or you can spend $700 on a pair of het albinos or pieds ($1500) and wait for two or three years until the female is up to size and start your breeding. Sure you can breed the het male sooner - but realy if you are going to go the possible het way - you might as well buy a pastel.

As for Granites - we saw lots of killer granite morphs recently - the ebony (of course) granite mojos, granite albinos, etc. - they just make cooler looking animals - worth the extra $300 depends on what you are breeding it to. Take a look at the hunters guide for more on True Granites.
