Alright, I'll try and make this short and sweet.. I live in florida and as many know heat in florida is pretty high, even inside with the a/c on. Anyways, in the summer my temps can easily reach closer to 85 degrees in the day with the a/c pushing extremely hard. Anyways, so I dont use heating for my snake at the moment, but I dont need to really except for his humid hide.. and because its winter.
I have a couple of white's tree frogs and I know they dont really like extreme temperature or humidity although they are quite hardy, I just bought them a 605 gallon tank from glasscages.com and was going to put mass in it as a ground cover.. the type that actually grows.. other than that and maybe a cuple of bromeliads and broad leaved orchids, I dont expect to have anything live in terms of plants. OF course with plants come the need for full spectrum bulbs. Would two 15 watt full specturm bulbs running 3/4 of the length of the tank heat up the tank too much. What if I attach my rheo stat and lower the watt so that its dim 24/7 instead of 12-12/7. would that be ok for the frogs? Any suggestions as to keep moss and a ocuple of plants alive but not roast my frogs?
Heh, so much for not making it long-winded
Thankyou,
Andrew
