I haven't actually tried it yet, but I'm going to. I've heard repcal brand usually has a better taste to dragons, and you can make them taste better by soaking them in juice first. Try to stay away fromthe cirtus though...

My beardies love the repcal. I've never soaked in juice. Warm does seem to work better then cold though.
My beardie loves it. the brand I have now has green and red pellets and he picks out all the green pellets. sulley is about 8 months ols and has been eating pellets as a staple food for about 3 months. I always mix it with water to soften it up; haven't tried juice yet. sometimes I mix it with baby food ro yogurt and he really loves that

Mine really love the dried bearded dragon food that Kaytee puts out. the pebbles are red and green, and by the expressions on my dragons face as they are eating them, it's quite tasty...lol! I haven't tried the stuff that is being advertised in the classifieds yet, but I think I just might. I'm always open to anything that is healthy for them that will vary their diet. Christy
I feed all of my beardies Rep-Cal and they love their pellets. I soak them in water or apple juice until they're soft.

I tried feeding pellets a few differant brands, but the dragons never really took to them or liked them very much. I use it once in a while to add variety to thier salads, but sometimes they don't eat it. I have in the past with success fed it in a mixture for babies that were not taking to eating fast enough. I would soak it in warm water add a little rep-cal calcium, and some chicken and sweet potato baby food and mix it up to a consistancy I could draw up a needleless syringe. I suggest using it to add variety, but I personally would not use it as a staple food. Don't think a little man made pellet can have everything a dragon needs to live a long and healthy life. Variety is the key, and live foods for young dragons I believe is a better choice for growth, and happiness.

Man has come a long way though, lol. Many animals live off pellets. Such as rabbits, hamsters, etc. But even though it is a good staple, I'll occasionally throw in some crickets. And they always get their greens with baby food.

We sure have haven't we lol. Maybe that was the wrong thing to add to that lol. I just never had any luck with them personally. Some do use it as a staple. What I basically ment was feeding them alone without any variety added. I know of a person who had fed them alone and had a few slow growers. I was just trying to say that it's not a good idea to feed any food alone. Many pet stores have newbies thinking all they have to do is through a few pellets in a bowl. Most dragons would not make it aas they have to learn to like them it seems.
