Swolen Eyes

ARolf Feb 16, 2006 05:26 PM

i posted a while ago about my russians eyes. after i woke him up from hibernation his eyes looked swolen, i bought "Repti Turtle Eye Drops" made by zoo med. i have been giving him the drops (two drops in each eye once a day) for about 4 days now. the box says its for cleaning the eyes and vite A deficiency and it says to use for a week befor consulting a vet. my question how do these drops work? i havent seen any improvement with the torts eyes. could it be someting besides vite A?

The drops don't work when there is a real problem behind the issue. If the eye is still swollen you may want to consider making an appointment with a vet.

I would still consult a vet. Swollen eyes/shut eyes are never a good sign. Consult the vet and take a look at the husbandry and diet.
