Photo of Awesome Looking New Green Tree Python.

apexpredator01 Feb 16, 2006 07:09 PM

I just picked this animal up today. I had to, it's just too odd looking and I had to have it. I'm not sure what sex it is; it's only about two feet long.

This is a "Farm Raised" animal (Yes I can hear all you CBB only snobs gasping all the way over here!).

For the record I can honestly say that of the multitudes of GTP's I've worked with over the years I've never had much difficulty with either CBB or WC or FB or whatever you acronym you prefer. I can say that in general the WC or FB animals tend to be more reliable feeders. Of course that's just been my experience.

I will accept any flaming from the CBB only snobs or anyone else for that matter, because I know you’re just jealous of my snake! LOL!

Well I think that animal is H-O-T HOT!!! Can't wait to see how it comes out. Looks really dark along the spine. Is that a dark green, or black?

It's both. The spine of this animal looks like someone has smudged black coal down it mixed with forest green. The triangle pattern is bright yellow and the background is gold. It's a stunner in person.

as far as us CBB people being snobs. I think you are mistaken. The "snobs" realize CBB are healthier animals. Most of the advertised "farmbred" animals are probably WC. I would take a CBB animal anyday over WC or FB. As far as problem feeders I think you have your information backwards. I have never had or heard of a CBB animal being a bad eater. Any good breeder will not sell a CBB animal until it has had at least 15 meals on its own. Your WC/FB animals take a nice trip over here without food or water, and many are horrible eaters. Maybe you have been lucky, but eventually everyones luck runs out. Your baby is nice looking, but a baby. As far as being jealous of your baby, I have attached a pic of my 8 year old male who is finished with his color change. Come see me when your baby is done changing, LOL.

That's a smoken looking snake Scott.

And don't get me wrong I love the CBB's, but I've just seen too many people pass up some awesome looking animals just because they were born in another country. Besides, if it weren't for imports, there would be no new blood coming into the country and we would be stuck with what's already here.

Just my $.02

BTW, when are you going to hook that male up with a Smoken Female and make some awesome looking babies?

I don't think any one would be crazy enough to turn their nose up at a wild looking import.

I think the problems with imports is you really need to be ready for what you're going to get into, even if you don't have a bad experience, you just need to be ready.

Anywho,

blah blah blah... Nice Lemon and nice Biak!

Julian,

What makes you think this is a Biak? I'd like to be able to tell an animals locality from its appearance.
