First, that's a nice collection of snakes you built up; Missouri seems to be one of the few "hot friendly" states left (although you do have to jump through a few hoops and hurdles but it doesn't seem too bad), however, when folks move to other states they should be fully aware of the law and respect the law; may not seem fair but that's the way it is. It was my understanding that California does allow for certain species to be kept...can others elaborate?

prohibit you from keep anything that is non-native to CA, which is kind of a drag. It would be nice just to keep some other types of Crotalids but I am limited to what is found in CA. And alot of counties and cities are not hot friendly, so it would be best to check with the city before acquiring any hots.

Well, count your blessings; here in IL you can't keep anything unless you are a lucky one like me who operates a wildlife center/zoo/etc. I could personally be quite content keeping a collection of California crotalines.

I am very grateful. If I still lived in Long Beach I wouldn't be able to keep anything. My collection is pretty small having three ssp but I am content and grateful. Definitely my favs as far as hots go.......
