Het/Applegate Pyro Female ..PIC..

jeph May 19, 2003 02:17 AM

Heres the female that laid 2 bad eggs last year. These were both 2000 hatch animals, so they were pretty young. I feel I'm lucky that nothing bad happen, I had a normal female go egg-bound and die last year-(gravid from the applegate in the post below). So I'm waiting to breed females untill they are plenty big enough for breeding.

I saw Bob Applegate's display at the Pomona show. He had a few het-Applegate pyros, and one resembled a zonata so much that I kept looking at it and wondering... Weird.

Hi Mark,
I was there too, did you see the het/applegate male he had for sale with the really strange pattern ?, it had about 20-29 bands, and the first couple were really abberant. he's still trying to get 500$ each for hets!, no wonder he still has all his '02 hatchlings. That hypo greeri is almost to tempting though, I think I need one of those soon. Did you see the pics of the rubber boas I posted on the field forum, I saw 9 that day, I didnt see any reason to take pics of all though, they were all very similar. Well take care,

Really nice hets he had, and you can tell they were fed plenty. I agree - I would have purchased some had he offerred them at a lower price, especially that aberrant one. Re: 9 rubber boas. A new baby is keeping me home, but I have heard that it has been a great year to see Mtn kings up there, and obviously for you, the Charina are out too.
