clean hog

cbreps Feb 17, 2006 09:27 AM

here are some updated pics of this 03 female i held back. in case you havent seen this one posted before this lemke pair i own almost always has one really clean female in the past 5 litters. this is the cleanest one she has had to date. i am still waffling on what to do with this one (but selling her is not one of the ideas, although i enjoyed the offers last time, lol!) i do have a male from a different line that has very lite speckling that is one of my options. thanks for looking, john yocum

I think you whould pair that one with the ugliest, most-speckled Hog you have. You may be suprised at the results! Just a thought.
Best of luck no matter what you decide to do.

defend speckles!!! don't say ugly!!lol! i like bold speckles on hogs. i have a high speckle but also hi pink male i was thinking of and then again i do have a very clean pretty male with low speckling. i was just about to take a pic of the two when my batteries went dead in my camera,,,,soooo as they charge i decided to take a looksie at the forum. stay tuned for some pics. oh and here is my "in defense of speckles" pic.(this male is not either of the two i was talking about,he is being used with a similiar looking female) thanks, john yocum

ha ha ha... I was using the term 'ugly' in the way that many people call them. I love all Hogs.... even the 'ugly' ones!
That one with all the speckles is outstanding. Good luck with them.

kattivo Feb 17, 2006 06:28 PM

Yeah, CONGRATS! Can't wait to see what you produce this year! Don't forget, I still need a Hi-Contrast male! LOL That pic I posted is old! You should see him now! BTW, that female Hi-Contrast is growing like a weed! She is about his size now! Any new ETBs?

cbreps Feb 17, 2006 06:41 PM

on this forum, lol! no, but may be working a trade later when temps heat up. you are at the top of my list for a male on that pairing. does this male look familiar? he has turned out to be a persistent suitor, the female is a 6 yr old VPI line.

kattivo Feb 17, 2006 06:49 PM

Lookin' good. Man, he is still just as colorful! Hope he does the job! He was the cleanest and nicest patterned in that litter. Won't mention the tree dogs...how about a pic? LOL

coming in. One of the most beautiful examples of a Hog that I have ever seen. I had a male of similar beauty once...wish he was still here. Though he had intense peach color, he was still not qite as clean as her. Still want a pair of those from you. )

...laura, or is that the one you say "is no longer with you". the female that produces these is taking the winter off, but man she looks good, i am so tempted.....but i wont, her daughter looks good to go though. j yocum

LauraV Feb 18, 2006 05:57 PM

He is no longer with me, he has passed on. I've only seen one female to rival his color (extreme peach), and Chris Canada Smith sold her. She was so close to being mine...sigh...
But, clean orange hogs are my next favorite...and it's hard to get that spotless-clean look...but, orange beats pink anyday in my book.
I only have one female right now. I would probably rate her a 7 out of 10. But she sure needs a clean male from you...another female will give me a real nice trio.
