O/T Just Have to share my NEWS

PHEve Feb 17, 2006 11:19 AM

You guys remember I recently lost my Old English sheepdog Grizzly to cancer.
Well about a week later we decided we just could not stand it here without a big ole shaggy clown, so we found a breeder in South Carolina who had a batch of 2 week olds

We looked at pics at 2 weeks, and picked one out and sent a deposit to hold him. He's a white head, with one dark and one blue eye like our Grizzly.

We just got up-dated pics last night, he's now 5 weeks and getting furry, LOL going crazy as we have to wait 3 more weeks before he can be shipped to us Delta Dash. I CAN'T WAIT

Oh the breeder asked what we wanted to name him, she would begin calling him by it. They look so bear like bears from the back, big bear butts with bob tails Anyway for his pedigree name I decided on "Sir Bearington" , and we'll call him BEAR.

Right now he's my Baby Bear and a couple states away
Be here March 7th

Heres some new photos the breeder sent us of him last night.

Little baby bear is going to get so much loving he won't know how to act! His picture is gorgeous and the fact that you wanted another dog just like Grizzly is a tremendous tribute to him. Grizzly, you watch out over Baby Bear and see that he has a safe trip. Diane

He's a Henkeli too! The breeder has had him for 3 years and he's had 19 babies, so the breeder want's to add some new blood so he's letting me take this guy!! I'm soo excited! The only gecko I have is my Grandis and he is awesome to watch too. He makes a mess out of his food!! LOL, It's really gross sometimes! I don't feed him silkies that often cause the "juice" makes a mess out of his cage!! I'll be on the Uroplatus forum as soon as I get him. Going tomorrow to get all the goodies for him . Maybe one day, you'll have a spare girl and they can "hook-up"!! We'll be related!! Your studs girl with my Stud can only make cute little Henkies!!! I can see it now...............

die before hatching, I was so disappointed. It happens sometimes but wow you wait a long time for these guys and when it goes bad it's a real let down.

My female , Sindar, just layed 2 more a couple weeks ago but they were not fertile this time. I should get some kids this season.
As far as geckos, I have this trio of henks, and a giant day gecko, and central american banded gecko.

Heres the trio at night hunting

OH I'm sorry. That's so sad... How many eggs do they lay at one time?
I feel bad for my new guy already. I see your trio and I hope my guy doesn't get too lonely. He's used to being with a bunch of girls.. Now he'll have the life of a bachelor..
I found some names that I like, but I have to let my best friend name him. He let me name his fish LOL, he got 3 "fancy" gold fish and a pleckto (sp?). I named them Huey, Dewey, Louie and Suck Face. I told him that I liked the names Aspen, Richie, Ace, or Franklin, but we'll see. I hope he doesn't name him Suck Feet or something like that. I didn't want to name his fish Suck Face, but I was under alot of pressure to hurry up and come up with some names, and the only name that fish inspired from me was Suck Face.... so it's really not all my fault that his name sucks. So hopefully Jim can see past all that and come up with something cool.

I also have large fish tanks with cichlids, and a couple huge
plecostomus or Pleco's Boy they do a wondeful job at keeping the algae down, they are PRICELESS , LOL

I named mine strangeo names also one is SLIMELY and the other is SCOOP ,

As far as your male henk, they seem fine without others, but also do well with others, and like I said I have a reserved trio, 2 males and female and they are not as aggressive as other species of uroplatus.

Oh by the way they lay 2 eggs at a time usually.

This is the way they sleep, excuse the water stain marks, LOL or blending in with a limb somwhere. But they sleep on the glass alot always pointing down

LOL, Scoop... I like it! Jim has 3 large saltwater tanks that he takes very good care of. He can tell you the names of the live sand and all the critters in there. We were talking about having varity in your life, so I thought it would be a good idea for him to switch it up a little. Now he has like a 50 gallon luxury tank for 3 fish that have a memory that lasts 30 seconds!! LOL..
I like your pic!! They look so comfy! And they sleep right next to each other!!! Very Cool!! We'll see how he does by himself for a while. He might like not having moody women around him all the time
Now off to my next dilema. My dart frogs are almost full grown and they decided they don't like each other anymore Thank goodness I only have 2!!!
Look forward to seeing pics of you new baby hear real soon!

Hi there,
You'll like Eds frogs. He has some nice ones. Very plump! LOL. I get mine Darren Meyer. I'm thinking I might get some from Ed's (his name is Dave)this weekend, but we'll see. I have 2 New River Tincs. They were named Tink and Bell, but recently had a gender-based name change, to they are the darts formerly known as Tink and Bell, Beck and Juan. Did you do your own set up? It's really nice. I was too lazy to do my own so I got mine from Paul Davis Reptiles and I must say I love it!! When I got it, it was newly planted with baby plants so it wasn't all that, but I've had it for 6 months and it looks amazing!! He even put some orchids in there that are starting to bloom!! You'll have to send me some pics when you get your new babies!

but i was reading the post, and i saw that you bought a tank for dart frogs from this paul davis character all ready for you. does he have a website? i never have the energy to put together a really nice tank like those but have always wanted one. and the roaches are doing great, minus two who became food, but there's plenty of babies running around! and now you may resume your conversation

FEENIEE Feb 20, 2006 11:17 PM

I'm so glad the roaches are doing good!! Glad to hear you got babies too!!! Paul does not have a website, but his email is pauldavisrep@hotmail.com. I'll see him this weekend too!! Check out my tank on the dart/arrow frog forum.

Or I just want double the FUN !

My Old English Pup, "Bear" is still coming first week in March , But .... everytime we got new pics he was always playing with the same female

**So he's bringing his little sister with him, hehehehhehee

We called the breeder today and said we wanted her too , thought it would be cute having them grow up together.
Of course they will be neutered/spayed when older.

We decided to call her Dandi, shes real cute with one black ear
