Just got batteries for my camera again...

This is our little rescue, Alcatraz. He's a little stinker (literally, first time I tried to handle him he pooped on me! LOL), but we love him anyway!

What do you think? This is the first and only king we have owned, so I only know what the caresheets and such say, give me your imput.

Thanks, I think he's pretty kool, just wish he would calm down a little, he was never handled before he came here, so he can be a pain to deal with. And I am used to pythons, so he's a wriggly little guy! LOL

...adding a few inches of aspen bedding or perhaps another substrate to make the little guy feel happy and secure. My Cal King, Bandit especially the first several years enjoyed burrowing down and I really believe it added to his pleasant disposition. While it may involve a slight bit more maintenance than paper towels, it certainly looks better with all the nice furnishings you have in a roomy enclosure. Of course you know snakes so it's a personal call, but with a Kingsnake it makes more sense to have the bedding in my opinion.
Good luck with him.

Yeah, he had Aspen when he came, but we didn't have any handy so he burrows under the paper towel for now LOL. We're going to switch him (and all of our snakes and rodents) to Sani-Chips as soon as our order comes in.

I don't think there is much that would change his disposition instantly, LOL, if he is ever handleable it will take persistance from us to get him used to being around people.
