She was fairly young. a little while later, after we cleaned out their care ( 3 other geckos live in there) we noticed that there was fresh bloody stool in their cage, Whats happening? we recently fed them superworms, is that causing this? or is it parasites? help plz...we have them all seperated right now to figure out who had the bloody stoooll..plz respond,

How old are they? Are they adult size superworms? If they are they might be to big for your leo. I noticed when my male its a lot of superworms that his feces is finda a different color. I hope that is normal. Just to make sure I would take them to the vet though. Are they showing any signs of sickness?

sounds like some severe parasitics or something worse. Super worms won't do that to a leo there stomach acids are too strong for anything to live in them. Sounds bad if you have other herps stay away from them with anything in contact with those leos.

yeah I was guessing that it was parasites, I feeel so badd...we're gonna call the vet as soon as possible...Do ya think that the parasite med's would be to strong for them? we cant bear to lose another one. And it was definetly blood in the stool, it was obvious.Anythig else I can do til Monday, when we call to make an appt?

By any chance can you pin point which one the stool came from? Make sure they are separated and make sure they are well hydrated. When you get an appotiment with the vet make sure you have a recent(moist) stool. If they usually go at night and you wont be able to get one till morning. Try to stick it in the refridge to keep it moist as possible and fresh it can stay good up to about 24 hours. The fresher the better. Dont put it on papertowels (the stool in the refridge)though because it would soak up the moisture. Other than that. keep a close eye on them and weight.

Hope everything works out.

a vet should be able to give you a medication suitable for which parasite. Probally some antibiotics too. Make sure you get a good fresh stool sample and keep it in the fridge in a baggy or something so it does not dry out.
