I gave her many nesting options, she nested at 78f therefore I will incubate at this temp.

The animal in your last Pic can not have laid these eggs-you showed the male
In my hands babies from eggs incubated at 26°C or above are weak and often do not eat. To my experience 22-24°C is the best range for incubation.
Be careful with feeding the hatchlings. They tend to prey on too large insects and can die if they do not get rid of them.
Otherwise raising of the babies is easy. They reach almost adult length within a year but normally do no bread before theri third.

I was looking for your basilica care sheet, but didn’t find it. I need to know more on there husbandry, temps NTL DTH humidity and feeding.
Many thanks

Hi,
congrats, you have healthy looking chamaeleontinus. Looks like Java population.
And I envy you for the female. I only heard of females producing more than 5 eggs. Mine all always laid just 2-3.
For housing have a rainforest setup in mind. Take care to provide lots of vertical branches of about the same diameter as the lizards. They prefer those for sleeping and watching out.
The lights should not be too bright, but other than Acanthosaura, G. chamaeleontinus sometimes do bask. hence I would recommend a small basking spot at one side of the tan.
If lights are too bright, the animals change to almost nocturnal activity. So its easy to detect what is good and what is too bright.
Mine regularily sat in waterfalls and even cught live fish out of a bigger water tank within their enclosure.
Once acclimatized, they are hardy and easy to keep.
Calm lizards but with the ability to burst into activity upon feeding and with very nice courtship displays.
Mine hat problems with calcium lactate. Higher doses of this salt resulted in strong thirst and overall weakness. On the other hand their need for Ca is quite high (females and bebaies). Using Calcium citrate, I never experienced any problems. So calcium supplementation is not really an issue. Just forget the lactate.
Be prepared for the babies. Among the cutest lizard babies to imagine. Especially between month 3 and 6 when neck sails begin to grow, animals are overall bright green but inner mouth sides are still of brillant cobalt blue..
Good luck with your Gonos
Ingo
Many thanks for your information; really you just made my day.
I was researching the net for information on these splendid lizards, but theirs almost nothing. You have first hand experience with this specie, and this is exactly what I needed. I haven’t seen a baby yet but theirs no dough in my mind they must be beautiful.
Other then temperatures preference I have no questions that come to mind, however I feel much better knowing I can ask if needed. For this I thank you Ingo

Hi,
don´t look at that printroom album if you want to seem my herps. Its a collection of pics of animals and of animals from diverse zoos.
I do have a wife and two kids as well as a non 9-5 Job which alltogether restricts the numbers of enclosures (including aquaria and bird cages) I can care for.
So I do have a herp room and I do have larger tanks in my living room, but its everything but a large collection.
BTW I do live close to Heidelberg, Germany.
Hahaha silly me! I should have known better.
However IV imported often from Germany, I assure you its quit easy, especially none CITES reptiles.
Perhaps if you ever get more gonos you may think of me as a potential customer.
Thanks for the help
