Do you think it is possible to cross a BRB with a red tail boa?

no its a totally different species and genus. So therefore the genes just would not match up enough to make anything and they most likely would not try anyways.

There have been some snakes to do this out of Genus. Woma x carpet cross for instance.

This is true and if I had to make an educated guess on the thing it would be that they are not to far off from each other, evolutionary wise. But I also believe that the size difference in rainbows and red tails would play a problem as well. I guess you could argue a male rainbow and a female red tail would work but still. I believe it is just their genes are to far from each other and maybe the womas and carpets are just closer. But I do not know for sure because I have not done work on those species and studied their genes.

...I imagine that it has been tried many times but so far THANKFULLY, has not been successful.

So i take it Jeff you are not into hybrids... I myself would not like to make any, but seeing a bater is just unbelievable. So I could just imagine the beauty these two could create.

sp,
...I think breeders have produced snakes that are now in the hobby that are impossible to identify. I would rather that not happen to the Rainbow Boas.
