I am looking on information on these guys (especially places to get them) I am unsure if they are a ratsnake or not which is why I posted it here. Thanks for any help.

They aren't a ratsnake but they aren't difficult to keep. They get to around 3 - 4 foot long and can be kept in a warm, dry vivarium. Coming from a climate with little seasonal change in temperature also means there is no brumation and they should feed consistently all year round.
They will feed on mice without any problems and breed easily, this last point is probably the only thing to be careful with, if you keep them together they can breed all year round and clutches every two months is hard work for a female snake. It can lead to egg binding, poor fertility and shortened life span, so they really should be housed separately.

House snakes are Colubrids in the subfamily, Boodontinae, not what we would call ratsnakes (Colubrinae), but they are extremely variable with multiple species and some morphs, and are similar to ratsnakes in behavior and requirements. They are mostly from Africa.
