coiledbattalions:

i got my cage from Paul at http://www.mdcustom.com, but also take in mind that this guys don't star to do well on this type of enviroment then you may want to be ready to follow Greg Maxwell advice on caging here is the website: http://www.finegtps.com/Care_sheets.html#PROPER%20CAGING%20AND%20ENVIRONMENT

with the cage i have call me an extremest but i have 3 different temp readers one in the back next to the temp regulator another in the mid back and another in the place where he/she loves to bask around.

here is an idea.

My youngster was kept in a rubbermaid container with glass covering a hole in the lid to help keep in humidity and heat. I use a zoo-med safety heat emitter which can sit directly on the glass as it is protected with a screen. To keep the baby from touching hot glass, I just used some fiberglass screen on the inside that is held in place by the closed lid. It keeps about a 1/2" space between the lid and the snake. Not pretty, but works fine. After they get big enough, they go into a Vision 222.

I built my own Greg Maxwell style cages. They hold the temps and humidity perfectly.

I build mine off a design i saw from Chris Harper...

Its a simple cage... plastic tub, wood frame, acrylic door, and a heat panel...

each cage cost me about $45 to build... They work great and if done properly they can be used forever...

good luck
