Baby, It's Cold Outside

Zoomaniac Feb 18, 2006 06:29 PM

Hi, everyone,

We are expecting a severe ice and snow storm in our area and could possibly have the power go out. What can be done to ensure our BP stays safely warm if that occurs? I'm thinking hot water bottles, but that would not suffice during overnight hours. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

the best thing is to have a genarator when the power goes out. i don't know the extent of your collection, breeding, incubating, etc... so that may be over kill. the other thing that would work is to have some 40 or 60 hour heat packs on hand. the same thing that would be used if shipping a snake. they can be purchased from a reptile supply company. hope i could help.
