I got a mated pair of 3-4 y/o Leopard Geckos at a local herp shop last saturday. They're beautifully colored and are eating well.
The only problem they came with was that before i got them they didn't have a moist place to help them shed and it's affected their feet significantly. The male isn't reall bad, all of his toes are still normal length and only few show signs of a small bit of retained skin. The female is much worse. ALL of her front toes are shortened and lack claws. Her rear feet are missing one or two toes. To treat it i've been holding one of them every night and spraying ESU shed ease spray on their feet. I alternate doing this to one of them one night and the other the next because they're still nervous about being handled. Is this what i should be doing?
My next question is about their tank. I've been looking at this Exo Terra Reptile Den and i think it would be a good hide for them. Unfortunatly no shops around me carry the large size that i'd need for the two of them and I want to know a little more about it before i buy it. Has anyone ever owned one of these? How big is the opening for them to get into? Big enough for a normal sized leopard gecko? Could 2 normal sized leopard geckos fit in one at the same time?
Thanks if any of you can help!
