MindefektNoiz Feb 19, 2006 03:00 AM

hello all! i had a bearded dragon die recently... he was around 6 to 7 years old.. he had became lathargic... not chasing the crickets, not climbing around like a monkey, etc. was his age about age for him to die? i hope it wasnt anything horrible! losing him was bad enough. thanks in advance!

terribly sorry for your loss but congrats on raising a bearded dragon for such a long life.

bearded dragons typically live between 5-10 years, though they have been known to live longer than 10 years. it is very possible your dragon passed away due to typically old age problems. unfortunately without a vet examination prior to death or a necropsy after death, there is no way to tell if the dragon died from simple old age or if it was caused by something else.
