A little something different from Salmonboa.com

salmonboa.com Feb 19, 2006 03:05 PM

Just wanted to share a photo of one of our Mandarin phase Madagascan Tree Boas. We have been raising a small group of these beautiful boas and they should be ready to breed this next year. Arboreal snakes have always been a favorite.

Thanks

I especially like how they look like "hots" with a head like that.
Thanks for sharing.

Great pic! Those are sooo cool....I like the different color phases they have...

I was at a zoo last year that had a lime green colored pair...they were not labled in the display, so I later found out they were madagasacan boas....how is their temperments? I would love to get a pair someday. Thanks for showing. Take care. Andy

Not knowing much about these, can you tell us a little on them.

Like how easy are they to breed, and what was your success rate?

On average what is the size of a litter?

And how large do these get, bigger or smaller than Emeralds?

Thanx.

We have not bred these in the past. We are just now raising this group up to breed. Ron Huffaker in California produced ours. They are very tame, great feeders, and they grow very fast. They get about 4-5 feet long.

Thanks for the kind words!
