i'm assuming you have a very large snake to be able to take piglets. If this is the case you must realize that if a snake is just able to eat a 5lb rabbit it might not be able to eat a 5lb piglet. The reason is the shape of the head of a rabbit is conducive for snake ingestion, the pig's is not. Also, the shape of the body isn't quite as streamlined as a rabbits. Now assuming that the snake is easily eating 10lb rabbits, then you should have no trouble feeding it piglets and there is no reason why your snakes won't thrive on them. I was going through the same dilema you are having about 10 yrs ago when I was breeding retics. I could get large (10-15 lbs) rabbits for roughly $15, but when feeding 20-30 of them a week that got expensive. I found a meat goat farm that would sell me 10-20lb goat babies for only $5. Once my snakes got large they ate exclussively goats. I never had any problems and they grew and bred quite well for me.
