TWO VERY DIFFERENT SUNGLOWS! (more)

salmonboa.com Feb 19, 2006 05:19 PM

A very close friend of ours locally, Phil Calvert, sent us some new pictures of two of his Sunglows. Both of these Sunglows were produced here at out facility in 2004' This first picture is great to show how different they are from each other, yet how unique each one really is! He calls the red one his "flaming Sunglow" and I have to say, in person it looks on fire!!

Thanks
John

WOW those are so amazing! Are they both from the same litter?
I've never seen sunglows like that. They have such amazing strong color's and contrast! Almost unreal looking. Thanks for sharing as always.

Jake

Trying to be more knowledged in Sunglows and other than seeing the Salmonboa Sunglows and Sharps from you and Ron M as well as Lipsticks from the Burkes, just wondering if there are other types named and are these "Flaming" going to be named this as well.

Also wondering since these came originally from you, can you tell us more on the parents and are these siblings?

I kinda notice the Coral thing happening so is there a Coral gene involved?

Please tell us

Mark,
Kahls have been around longer and have had more time for selective breeding to produce amazing animals like that. Just give it a few years, and I'm sure someone will.

Now give you guys with sharps about 20 years to refine and re-refine and then youll still want twice as much, but guess what the Kahls will look like by then? Still twice as good

I also want to say that the "Flaming Sunglow" was not the product of years and years of line breeding for color. It just popped out with other nice sunglows.

Can we just agree albinos in general are great?

michaelburton Feb 20, 2006 05:28 PM

Not exactly what I said, but ok. Right now. Yes, some kahl sunglows do look better. Just look at that thing! I wouldn't say its twice as good as the pastel dream sunglow or even the very first sharp sunglow that was produced less then two years ago. But that's just my opinion. Anyone remember how much the first kahl sunglows went for when they were first produced? I never thought I would say this..... But yes Mark I will agree with you. lol. Albinos in gereral are all great, in fact they are awesome.
