is something 4' X 2' a good size to keep these guys in? I'm starting a breeding project for next season. i have all my retiples and im looking for future cage options. my largest is a female normal and she is in a 4' vision with tons of room. Im looking at the VE 175 reptile tubs and or the 5 high "421D Combo" from boafile. if you can sugest something better please do...(and i want to stay away from wood cages).

I would suggest you go with a 6'X 2' or larger...like maybe 8'....I have seen some massive size BCC...they would not make it in a 4 X 2 cage.. Andy

i would say more like 7-9' range as there are some large females. personally i feel 4'x2' is good for males and some small females, but a female of the 7' range might not be so comfortable. for adult females i feel a 6' cage is much better.

There is one thing I did not see mentioned here. If you have the room for a larger cage it would be better. I am sure an 8' boa would be happyer in a 10X4 than a 4X2. Just a thought, I would be pissed off if I could not streach out in my bed.
