so im relatively new to cresties and i am yet to learn many things. all this time ive been feeding my guy baby food with calcium and crickets.
im now hearing that "GCD" is much more nutritional than baby food.
were can i buy this product?
what should i mix it with?
and can i still continue feeding crickets if i start using GCD?

thanks

You can buy it at any major petchain and I'm sure there are some (cheaper) online places as well.

Personally I feed my adult female 100% CGC, no crix, babyfood, etc...when she was younger I fed the CGC with a little babyfood mixed in as well as crix a few times a week. I slowly weaned her off the crix and then eventually off the babyfood.

She's gorgeous and seems to be very healthy on the CGC alone.

do i sprinkle the CGD with calcium or multi vitamins?

adding anything to the diet is not necessary. it is a complete meal replacement. if you feel the need to feed crickets or other insects to your geckos, you should be dusting them however.

the crested gecko diet is very good for crested geckos. its a complete food source for them, meaning no additional suppliments, crickets or fruit need be offered. it is made by T-Rex and can be purchased from any petstore which carries their products, or ordered from many online reptile supply stores as well.

it comes in a powdered form and you just add two parts water to one part powder. it may seem a little watery when mixed but that is fine. it does thicken up a bit after a few minutes but hte crested geckos lap it up watery anyway, great way to ensure proper hydration as well.
