Great Basin

I found this 5'male crossing the road a couple months ago in central UT . I just had to check him out for a minute and get him off the road. These Great Basin very so much in color and patterns through out there range . I just love'em .

I agree with the variability of Great Basin gophers. Del collects and works with them under a California Propagation permit and I've had the fortune to see just how much they can vary in color and pattern. Del's picked a California locale that he likes and works with at this time. I think he's coined them the primo California phase. They come from an area in Lancaster, CA. Thanks for posting some nice Great Basin gopher pics. I'm curious too if that aberrant Great Basin breeds through. Good luck on it.

I enjoyed checking out yours and Dels website . You guys have some awesome animals and I did notice Dels deserticola hes gots some nice ones .
