I ordered a Helix Thermostat back on Jan. 9th, and they're so far backed up, I haven't received it yet. What other reliable options do you have out there?...This is to run my incubator, and I have about a week to get it in. Thanks.

This is probably a stupid question - but have you checked with some of the sellers here in the classifieds that usually have them in stock? maybe you can cancel your order with Helix and just buy one from someone that has it already? Or is everyone out?

Actually, I've only been purchasing from Helix...When I purchased my first thermostat from them, I went straight to their site...I guess I didn't realize retailers sold them as well. thanks!

I recommend you call Big Apple Herp and order one of their proportional thermostats. I use them on snake cages; I’ve used one on an incubator. They work fine. I see from a banner advert here that they are even having a sale right now. The times that I have dealt with Big Apple I was impressed with their responsive customer service. I’ve heard the same good reports from others who post on Kingsnake.

Of course, there are other good proportional thermostats available now for you to consider. But for sure, none will do you much good if it hasn’t arrived by the time your eggs do.

If Helix is having problems shipping, they can take it by my wife's work, just like they did when I got mine, and I will ship it to you. My wife works like 10 minutes from Helix. They delivered mine on time, and it works great.

Hi there I spoke with Jeff at Helix about a week ago did you order a DBS 1000 or a basic system? he does have DBS 1000's in stock and ready to go but all other systems are on back order about six weeks. I know Jeff has experianced a pretty bad bite from a large retic that has left him with only one hand for a while. He went through a surgery or two.
