Recent South Florida Trip

I spent last week in Key West with my roommates to do some diving and plain old relaxing. Of course I snuck away when possible and even managed to spend 2 days in the glades.

The weather was down right cold with night time temps in the 30s the first few days we were there. It ended up warming up much more and I was still able to turn some stuff up.

Everything else is pretty much in situ. I saw plenty of brown water snakes, ringnecks and racers. Also managed to turn up an uglier corn in the same piece of carpet.

And here is the best pic of a croc I could get at night... man it blows though! I had to lighten the photo the a bit. I saw 4 over the span of a few hours. The shots with the flash just showed up as eyeballs.

Many of these were lifers and I lucked into a loggerhead while diving so I can't complain. It was a nice relaxing trip and I am not too happy about coming back to Ohio weather and school on Mon.

They were all VERY beautiful animals and photos. However, of course of my favorite are the American Alligator photos. If I saw any crocodilian in the wild, I couldnt be happier if I struck oil!

Excellent photos, looks like you had a good trip!

I have to agree that those are some awesome photos. What type of camera did you use, because there's no way my camera could capture those clear pictures?
