Incubating Eggs.

squillaci7 Feb 20, 2006 07:00 PM

I was wondering what everyone else has heard about incubating eggs. I always read about a diapause and also steady temperature and then aslo day and night fluctauting cycles for the eggs. Please help as my female will be breeding soon and I need some advice incubating the eggs.

You're welcome!
Words of caution: I hope that you have a container in the cage where your female can dig if she's older than 6 months. These chameleons can lay infertile eggs before they are mated.....and you don't want her to die eggbound from not having a place to lay the eggs. The container only has to be big enough for her to fit into with a couple of inches space around her when its empty. Fill it about 2/3rds full of washed sandbox sand. When she starts to dig, she can be provided with a larger container of sand to lay her eggs in as described in the site.

I hope you have success with them!
